Tag! I'm it! (Please enjoy an excerpt from THE PRINCE - Coming November 2012)

The exquisite and talented Karen Booth tagged me in a game of LUCKY SEVEN. A writer tagged in this game goes to page 77 of their WIP (work-in-progress), finds line number seven, and copies the next seven lines. My only WIP that's long enough for this game is book three in my ORIGINAL SINNERS series. I might be giving away some secrets here, but that's what I'm good at. Oh, and I'm cheating and doing eight lines since the last line is just one word.

from THE PRINCE, page 77, lines 7 through 15...

“It was Eleanor’s file that was stolen out of the thousands of files I have. It was a photograph of you and I that was sent to me. And it was Elizabeth’s house that was broken into and defiled. Eleanor, Elizabeth, and me...What do we all have in common?”

Søren glanced down at the footprints on the ground. Right next to Kingsley’s large boot-print was the much smaller bare footprint--they lined up side-by-side.  From the ground Søren looked up to the heavens and closed his eyes. Kingsley said nothing and let Søren pray.

Slowly Søren exhaled and opened his eyes.

“Me.”
