POINSETTIA - The 2015 Original Sinners Christmas Story
2015 has been a wonderful year for the Original Sinners. THE SAINT won the coveted RITA Award for Best Erotic Romance. THE KING won the prestigious Lambda Award for Best Gay Erotica. And THE QUEEN, the eighth and final (for now, not forever) Original Sinners novel came out to wonderful reviews. And I have all of my beautiful readers to thank for the many successes this year has brought me.
Christmas is not always the most wonderful time of the year for the many gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people who are estranged from their families. This year's Christmas story concerns two such people--Søren and Magdalena. Søren speaks of Magdalena, his mentor in sadism, in THE MISTRESS and THE KING. I thought it was high time you all met this cruel and lovely lady who was so important to Søren in the years before he met Nora. I hope you love her much as I do.
To my fellow Christians, I say Merry Christmas.
Too all others, I say that whatever holiday you celebrate, perhaps none at all, I wish you the best of Decembers, the brightest of winters, and the happiest of new years.
Now let us all resolve right here and right now to be more loving to each other in 2016, to be kinder and more forgiving and more welcoming to those who need it most. Perhaps if we do, Heaven will feel a little less fictional, a little less far away.
Or we can be mean. But only in the sexy way like Magdalena and Søren are.
